Vintage Fine Persian Tabriz Pictorial Hunting Scene Hand-Knotted Carpet – A Masterpiece of Persian Textile Art

Discover the extraordinary beauty of authentic Persian weaving with this Vintage Fine Persian Tabriz Pictorial Hunting Scene Carpet, exclusively presented by Loom & Crown Fine Oriental Carpets LLC. Handcrafted in the legendary weaving city of Tabriz, this exceptional carpet represents centuries of Persian artistic tradition, combining masterful craftsmanship with one of the most admired pictorial designs in Persian rug history.

Among the world’s finest handmade carpets, Tabriz rugs are celebrated for their exceptional knot density, intricate detailing, and remarkable artistic compositions. This rare vintage masterpiece features the highly sought-after Shikargah (Hunting Scene) design, a classical Persian motif inspired by royal hunting expeditions and the harmony between nature, wildlife, and humanity. Rich in symbolism and storytelling, pictorial hunting carpets are treasured by collectors for their historical significance and artistic excellence.

The spacious field beautifully portrays graceful gazelles, deer, exotic birds, flowering trees, and flowing botanical vines, all meticulously hand-knotted with extraordinary precision. Every animal and floral motif contributes to a dynamic narrative, transforming the carpet into a stunning work of textile art that reflects the sophistication of traditional Persian design.

At the heart of the composition lies an elegant chartreuse-green star medallion, intricately surrounded by delicate Islimi arabesques, scrolling vines, and finely detailed blossoms. This striking centerpiece creates perfect visual balance while enhancing the richness of the surrounding pictorial landscape.

The refined color palette is both rare and sophisticated, blending soft steel blue, slate gray, chartreuse green, cream, ivory, dust rose, muted gold, and olive green into a harmonious composition. The subtle vintage tones create a calming atmosphere while allowing every intricate motif to stand out with remarkable clarity. This elegant palette complements both traditional interiors and modern luxury spaces, pairing beautifully with walnut, mahogany, oak, espresso furnishings, and refined contemporary décor.

Surrounding the central field is an elaborate multi-tiered Persian border, decorated with repeating floral cartouches, rosettes, scrolling vines, and finely detailed guard bands. These richly ornamented borders frame the pictorial composition beautifully, adding depth, balance, and timeless elegance.

Expertly hand-knotted using premium fine wool on a durable cotton warp and weft foundation, this authentic Persian carpet is designed for exceptional strength and longevity. Its dense construction preserves every intricate detail while ensuring the rug remains durable enough to be appreciated for generations.

Measuring 6.5 × 10 feet, this elegant vintage carpet is perfectly suited for formal living rooms, executive offices, luxury dining rooms, libraries, reception areas, galleries, and private collections. Its generous dimensions and extraordinary artistry make it an impressive focal point capable of transforming any interior into a sophisticated space inspired by Persian heritage.

Every carpet offered by Loom & Crown Fine Oriental Carpets LLC is carefully selected for its authenticity, craftsmanship, and artistic merit.
